What Makes Articulate Unique: Benefits to Associates

We're a sophisticated client.
Because we often subcontract associates' services, we become more sophisticated at dealing smoothly with specialists like you. We are familiar with the technical considerations that you must address and we often know what information you need to address them. You will find us unique. We will challenge you. Yet, you won't have to deal with problems and risks that often arise with unsophisticated clients.

We're a simple client.
When we call on you, we know what we want, and we know how to communicate our needs in terms you can relate to. We generally have a good idea how much time and money you'll need, and — more concerned with outcome than with your own process — we know when to leave the details up to you.

We let you focus on your most profitable activities.
You know how much hard work and practice it takes to perform well at what you do. We know that it takes whole, distinct skill sets to handle marketing, pricing, project management, client relationship management, and administration. We handle those. As an associate to Articulate, when you get involved in an Articulate project, you get to focus on your key strengths.

We only want your best.
We want to know what types of work you excel at so that we may focus on involving you in projects that require excellence in those areas. Likewise, if you lack confidence in certain types of work, we will not ask you to go there. By knowing your strengths and weaknesses, we can become a channel for you to focus on your highest-value work.

We're flexible.
As an associate, you can work in any environment you like at any time you like. Take your laptop to your favourite cafe or pub, or to the beach, or on a camping trip. Work in the middle of the night or early in the morning. Wear comfortable clothes. As long as you deliver good work reliably at fair cost, you can exercise this flexibility at your own discretion.

We put it in writing.
Like many of your clients, we prefer to have the terms of our business relationships in writing. This way, we can work together secure in the knowledge that everybody's business interests are acknowledged and protected. For first-time deals, we use a proprietary Subcontractor Agreement. For a continuing on-call relationship, we operate under a proprietary Associate Agreement. Each agreement identifies both parties' rights and obligations in plain language, creating a fair and ethical basis for us to maintain a mutually-beneficial business relationship.

If this interests you and you're very good at what you do (e.g. as a wordsmith, graphic designer, illustrator, or website developer) then please contact our principal consultant, Glenn R Harrington.
